Welcome to Pontypridd Y.M.C.A.

Pontypridd Y.M.C.A. provides a welcoming, community space for all ages. Many services and activities are available including Kickboxing, Dance Classes, Guitar Lessons, Wrestling Training, Circuit Training, Slimming Classes, Shotokan Karate etc.

Pontypridd Y.M.C.A. has worked with children, young people, and the local community for almost 100 years. Our Builiding opened in September 1910 and was built with contributions from local business people. Young people attending the Y.M.C.A. have been encourged to develop their talents, and follow their dreams.

Meeting and Training rooms are also available along with the Shelley Hall which can hold up to 200 people.

Sir Tom Jones paid a surprise visit to the venue where he started his singing career. Sir Tom was filmed and interviewed in the Shelley Hall by CBS. Afterwards he met young people who were attending a Drop-in at the Y.M.C.A.
