Taff Vale Shopping Precinct This photograph shows the start of what would later become known as the Taff Vale Shopping Precinct. Taken in 1964 during construction, the Y.M.C.A. can be seen in the centre of the picture next to Fine Fare supermarket and Pontypridd Athletic Club.  |
Y.M.C.A. Opening 29th September 1910 The photograph shows Pontypridd Y.M.C.A. on the day of its opening, 29th September 1910, almost 100 years ago. As the image shows Taff Street was full of spectators on the day of the opening, rarely does the street boast this many visitors today. Needless to say the opening of such a building was big news to the town of Pontypridd all those years ago.  |

Y.M.C.A. Symphony Orchestra This photograph was taken in 1924 and shows Pontypridd Y.M.C.A. Symphony Orchestra. The Orchestra consisted of over 50 members and was conducted by Mr Brinly M Lewis.
